viewtrious accesses images, videos, animated media, and supported 3D files that you choose to open. To provide same-folder navigation, thumbnails, metadata, and previews, viewtrious may also inspect supported neighboring media in the same folder.
Media decoding, rendering, adjustments, preview generation, and supported 3D viewing are performed locally on your device using native Windows components and viewtrious code.
local application data
viewtrious stores application settings and technical state locally under your Windows user profile. Depending on the features you use, this may include settings, per-media adjustment values, file identity or hash-cache records, and other state needed to provide the viewer's local features.
This information is used by viewtrious on your device and is not transmitted to ortrious. Files you intentionally save or export, such as captured frames or wallpaper output, are written only when you use the corresponding feature.
accounts, analytics, and advertising
viewtrious does not require a viewtrious account and does not include an ortrious-operated cloud media library, advertising network, behavioral tracking system, or analytics/telemetry service.
ortrious does not sell personal information collected through viewtrious because viewtrious does not collect that information for ortrious in the first place.
Microsoft Store and Windows services
If you obtain viewtrious through the Microsoft Store, Microsoft may process purchase, trial, licensing, installation, update, and Store-account information as part of providing the Microsoft Store and Windows. That processing is performed by Microsoft and is governed by Microsoft's own privacy terms.
Windows may also maintain operating-system information related to file associations, application installation, shell integration, and other normal Windows features.

viewtrious and this website may provide links to external services such as GitHub or Microsoft. When you follow an external link, the destination service's privacy practices apply.
data sharing
viewtrious does not transmit your local media files or locally stored viewtrious settings to ortrious or to third parties as part of normal viewer operation.
your control
Your original media remains under your control. viewtrious does not modify original media merely by viewing it. Local viewtrious settings and application data remain on your device until they are reset or removed through the controls and Windows file-management options available to you.
changes to this policy
If viewtrious changes in a way that materially affects how personal information is accessed, collected, used, or transmitted, this policy will be updated and the effective date above will be revised.
